This is the collab I was doing with ~kinnas. However, somehow I lost contact with him. I like how this was coming out so I just posted it. I hope he doesn't mind. Maybe I'll be finishing this some day!

I love the contrast between them - the rich one is so... smooth, amazing, I felt in love! Your faces and style are so amazing, really, I'm jealous :c I don't know the English word, maybe you do. How is in English this some similar thing on his neck?? My language's version is 'fular'... . Nah nah nah.

It's always nice to try something new, and I think that impressionist-y look works well in this drawing. Everybody's said what I wanted to say about sybolism, but I think it works well from a time-period perspective too.
This is so beautiful, especially the way the background frames the figures. I love how separate styles of painting bring out the different social statuses of the characters.
One has a distinct feeling that this could one day become the cover of a book. But then again, its so very beautiful on its own, so full of quiet symbolism and meaning.
